      There is a ton of free information on my website www.YourGolfGuru.com and. moreover. even though I never disclose what to do, lots of people have figured it out by watching a lot of videos. What to do is my bread and butter and only for those who have paid lessons - after all, I have spent 30 years researching the golf swing and even doing a PhD to study and research it further.

    Watching your feet and the putter head is nearly worthless. You can't draw people in if you don't give them something informative and inspiring.

    The narrator is NOT AWARE that IANs build forces this swing if a person wants to maintain a centerline.WITH shoulder rotation. He would end up tipping over… or reverse pivoting. How do I know?? My build is nearly identical. Look up “the LAWS of the golf swing”… it’s a manual on anatomy and golf.

    Dear Kiran - I don't understand how this can apply to the golf swing because only the mass of the clubhead (and maybe a small amount of mass of hosel/shaft) has time enough to get involved in the clubface/ball collision (ie. 0.4 msecs). Proximal stillness to create more force via the hands on the grip will not make any difference at clubface/ball impact.

    It's not very elegant to look at and there is some early extension stuff going on, but he is so damn good, he just matches it all up and done. It's a cool swing, it has a lot of character.

    I think you made an error here about the 'Sanders & Owens' research paper. The 'nipple' was only the hub (of the clubhead path) just before/at/through impact . They theorised that this created a longer radius of clubhead swing path just before/at/through impact because this might decrease the 'Rate Of Closure' approaching impact. Further, there does seem to be some evidence that shows horizontal, shear and vertical grfs have some correlation with increased clubhead speed.

    Dr. K. its Lamont from Triple A Golf in St. Louis one of your first subjects who participated in your research. I can't believe I'm here with you looking for advice on my knee pain. After years of playing golf it’s beginning to catch up with me. I did a search on UA-cam for golf knee pain and to my surprise there you where. Fantastic! I'm so happy to see that you are still at it. I'll share this with the rest of the old gang. Thanks!

    Where has this lady been all my life…🤷🏻‍♂️. Between her, Jim Veneto, Shawn Clement and some of Malaska, a little bit of all four of them, have changed my golf completely. I started with Malaska working on my hands and from there a little of the rest. I have been watching Malaska for a long time, but I was doing something wrong in the backswing that couldn’t get solid contact or control. In the last three days and last three rounds, I have been able to hit the ball longer, higher and w/ more accuracy than ever before and I have been playing golf for more than 45 years. This new preset or impact position preload or whatever you wanna call it, it is very efficient and straight to the point. Although the swing seems shorter or more compact, my distance hasn’t suffered one iota, now why is that, I really don’t know and I don’t care but the proof is in the pudding. I still need to work on my driver but. In the meantime I’ve been teeing off with my two hybrid and I am just as long and w/ more control. I don’t know why there aren’t more pro players using this or these methods, especially in difficult courses under difficult conditions. Golf on!

    Thanks Dr. K for your refreshing insight! I recently restarted playing golf after quitting for 2 years out of frustration from trying to learn the game unsuccessfully through the traditional approach for over a decade. In my reset I am questioning all of the 'conventional wisdom.' Looking forward to viewing more of your content.

    The golf swing is no different to the action used to throw a ball underhanded and as such the lower body moves forward first followed by the upper body and finally the arms and wrists to throw the ball and the golf swing is exactly the same action.

  • @Robert-ts2ef
    @Robert-ts2ef 2 роки тому

    You are not comparing apples to apples as the tour player is using and irons while the minimalist swinger is using a driver and the impact positions will be different. The tour player has a more controlled swing and does not have anymore movement than the minimalist swinger and as such is much better swing. Your minimalist swing is not an improvement.

      When Woosie went to see golf coach John Jacobs early in his career he said to Woosie " Just keep doing what you are doing". Such natural talent, one of the best and most powerful swings of his day. Don't know who this woman commentating is but I would wager she knows next to nothing about a golf swing.

    Thank you for this video. Interesting talking points to consider as a returning golfer. I've often wondered whether females could pick up additional clubhead speed in the same way as men if our swings are slightly different.

  • @sickofgovwaste
    @sickofgovwaste 2 роки тому

    When you say "more forward posture," are you talking about more of a "reverse K," where the lead hip bumps forward toward target line? The uninitiated might take "more forward posture" as bending over at the waist toward the ball and getting more on the toes (and that would NOT be good). Thanks for your reply.

    Bryson DeChambeau went from one of the most body-friendly, high-expectancy career longevity swings to one of the lowest, imho. If he did the same amount of training with your minimalist system, I bet his length would be the same with far greater consistency! Have you seen Jim Knous' swing, Kiran? He's pretty close to the MGSS! Would love to hear your comments!

    Thank you for an informative video. Lots of interesting facts which were a real eye opener. The only observation I would make is, and correct me if I'm wrong, there was no mention of handicaps (HC)? The purpose of a HC is to allow players of all levels to compete against each other and the shots you get should be factored in on how you play each hole. Many men also struggle to play courses and rarely better their HC, myself included. With regards to mixed events, of which there should be a lot more, men need to educated on why ladies have higher HC's and why their tees are further forward.

    Very nice analysis. My question would be,, what allows the torso to start its rotation in the downswing? By that, I don't mean muscles. The torso must have a foundation to move from.
